What is LaunchWP?
LaunchWP is a modern server management dashboard, tailored to create, deploy and manage WordPress at ease. It plugs into any VPS or cloud providers, and allows anyone to launch blazing fast WordPress with clicks. LaunchWP has features included to make WordPress management easy, such as off-server backups, auto scheduled backups, easy PHP version switching, top grade caching layers, power object caching, pre configured security for sites and many more.
Is LaunchWP a Hosting provider?
No, LaunchWP is not a Hosting provider. LaunchWP is simply a server management dashboard, using whcih you can install WordPress in your own VPS or cloud provider. It’s a BYOS model, where you Bring Your Own Server. We are compatible with almost all VPS or cloud providers, given that you are able to SSH, and are able to install OS Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
What Stack will my WordPress have with LaunchWP?
LaunchWP’s stack is Enterprise Graded, it’s tested on handling millions of visitors. The web server of your WordPress website will be on NGINX, the database will be on MariaDB, and the object caching will be handled by Redis. To make things for more faster, we also have a proxy cache in place, to make sure your server is not overloaded when your Redis cache is flushed. Each site in your server is contained within a Docker container, so none of your sites will interfere with the other. You can use phpMyAdmin to access your Database and SFTP to access your files.
The best part? All these things are configured automatically with LaunchWP, you do not have to configure a single thing manually.
Can I install WordPress on any VPS with LaunchWP?
Yes, you can install WordPress on any VPS with LaunchWP. LaunchWP works via SSH, so your server simply needs two things to work with LaunchWP. Able to be SSH’ed. You should be able to SSH to your server. And Able to install OS Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Your server should be built with the OS of Ubuntu 24.04 LTS to work with LaunchWP properly.
Does LaunchWP offer refunds?
Unfortunately, LaunchWp doesn’t offer a refund as of now. All purchases and fees charged are final. If you face any issues, kindly let us know and we would be more than happy to assist.
How do I migrate to LaunchWP?
Almost all of our plans come with some free migrations. We migrate your website onto your server and integrate with LaunchWP, for free. If you need some bulk migrations, to migrate bulk sites to your server, kindly let us know from your dashboard, and our migrations team will help you with that.
Can I talk with someone before subscribing to LaunchWP plans?

Can I switch PHP versions of my WordPress site?
Certainly! It’s just a click to switch PHP versions, and you simply need to choose your desired PHP version, and Hit save. That’s it.
403 when accessing PHPMyAdmin. Help!!
Ops! On LaunchWP, PHPMyAdmin is restricted via IP, which means not everyone on the globe can access your PHPMyAdmin. It’s only restricted to the IPs you have whitelisted. To fix this, simply come back to the PHPMyAdmin tab on LaunchWP, click Add IP Address, and add your Public IPv4 on there. Once it’s added, you are good to go!
Why should I self-host WordPress?
Great question! But the answer will vary depending on who you are and what your goals are. What happens if my plan expires at LaunchWP?
When your subscription at LaunchWP expires, your sites remain online, your website works as it is. However, you lose access to your LaunchWP dashboard, which means you can no longer manage your websites using LaunchWP. Your server also remains at your control, and all your data remains just as it is. You only cannot access the LaunchWP website management tools and features, that’s it
What if there is any configuration issue with my server?
We will try to help with any issues you face with your configuration of LaunchWP. We strongly suggest you NOT install or touch anything on your server, without letting our support team know. If you need any customizations in your server, kindly let us know, and we will together navigate to it.
We keep a log of every change we make to your servers so that we can revert back any changes in case of a server disaster.
Does LaunchWP offers server snapshots?
No, LaunchWP doesn’t offer server snapshots. Your cloud provider would be the best place to get server snapshots of your server, kindly check with them. For example, DigitalOcean, Linode, and others offer daily server backups, you can try those out.
Does LaunchWP store my website data?
No, and never. LaunchWP doesn’t in any way store your website’s data. Your website is on your own server, LaunchWP just helps you manage WordPress on the server. We do not host or interfere with your server resources, it’s all your website, your server, but powered by LaunchWP.
I am seeing errors when creating new site on LaunchWP.
Firstly, do not panic, and secondly, do not try to make any changes on your server by yourself unless you know what you are doing. If this is a new server, meaning you do not have any site in that server yet, kindly re-build the server with the image of Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. This will give you a clean slate, and then retry to install the site via LaunchWP. Please do contact us immediately and share the error you faced. Our team will help you fix it step by step and make sure it’s resolved in the correct way.
How can I add custom NGINX config rules to my website?
Adding custom NGINX config to websites managed via LaunchWP is super easy. Simply go under Settings of a website, and find the section of Custom NGINX config. Simply paste your NGINX config there, and save. That’s it!
Does LaunchWP serves in Israel?
Purchases made from Israel (Occupied Palestine) will be refunded, and the service will be canceled as soon as it catches our team’s eye. LaunchWP doesn’t serve users from Israel because of its continuing occupation of the State of Palestine and annexation of Arab lands. This policy also includes any website supporting Israel or its genocide. LaunchWP retains the full right to cancel any services associated with Israel, with either a full or partial refund.
What can I do with free STAGING domain?
All STAGING sites in LaunchWP come with a free domain connected. That free domain is not indexed on Search Engines, so you can safely experiment with ease. You cannot launch a Production website with that STAGING domain.
